EYG Hoops was founded by Chris Monette and Brian O’Neill with a vision to elevate basketball training in Albuquerque and beyond. Built on the principles of hard work, skill development, and mentorship, EYG Hoops has become a premier training program for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

For over 15 years, EYG Hoops has worked with players ranging from beginners taking their first shots to elite high school, college, and even professional athletes. We provide training for boys and girls ages six and up, helping them develop fundamental skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

At the heart of EYG Hoops is Chris Monette, a former standout player and accomplished coach. With experience at the high school, college, and professional levels, Chris has trained and mentored hundreds of athletes, guiding many to achieve success on their school teams, earn college scholarships, and even reach the NBA and international leagues. Former EYG players have gone on to compete at all levels of college basketball—NAIA, NJCAA, NCAA Division I, II, and III. One of our earliest trainees has even come full circle, now coaching at the collegiate level, a testament to the lasting impact of our program.
